strawberry birthday party ideas
Strawberry season is coming! My strawberry plants right now are filled with tiny little blossoms soon to become delicious strawberries. In honour of this and with summer right around the corner I would like to share some strawberry-themed birthday party ideas with you. I began with some fun little sketches of strawberry plants and turned them into some adorable party printables.

INVITATION: Once my sketches became digital illustrations I put them together to create this fun invitation (available here). I love the combination of the pink and red along with the hand-drawn quality of the illustrations. Super cute for a little girl’s birthday party!

CUPCAKES: Once I had the invitation I wanted to make some cupcake toppers and wrappers to match (available here). These are a really impressive yet easy way to decorate cupcakes. If you’re wanting a good recipe for strawberry cupcakes try the one here, they were delicious.

DRINKS: Strawberries are a great theme for a party since they are so easy to incorporate into all your food and drinks. I tried this recipe for strawberry lemonade and it was a huge hit with my kids. The only thing I found was that the lemon rind was a little overpowering. Next time I would peel one of the lemons first. Otherwise it was a delicious and healthy drink. Serve it in mason jars with pink paper straws and my free printable straw toppers (available to download below).

FAVOURS: I loved the idea of using strawberry quart baskets as gift bags so I’m giving you a template so you can make your own. To make them start by downloading the file at the bottom of this post. Cut out the template and trace onto pink card stock. Cut out and fold all sides in towards the middle. Then cut 2 strips 1″ wide from the same pink card stock, fold in half lengthwise and place glue inside. Starting from one side attach the folded strip along the top of each side of the quart until all sides are attached. Then print out the thank you tags, cut, attach to the front of each basket and fill with strawberry goodies.
