Roll dough about 1/4 inch thick onto a lightly floured surface and cut with desired shapes. Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper 1-2 inches apart and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. After the sugar cookies we made some pink popcorn for my kids to share at school. This is a great last minute nut-free snack to send since it took very little time and ingredients. Just follow these simple steps to make this delicious pink sprinkle popcorn. And you might want to make a little extra for yourself too!!
Step 1: Make popcorn
Step 2: Melt chocolate (I used pink Wilton candy melts) by placing in a microwave safe dish and heating 1 minute at a time on 50% power. Stir after each minute until it reaches a runny consistency. Overheating will cause the chocolate to harden so be careful!
Step 3: Drizzle melted chocolate over the popcorn and add any Valentine themed pink and red sprinkles and/or sugar. I also like to add in a little salt for that sweet and salty taste!
Step 4: Place in a sealed container or bag to keep it fresh and send to school the next day.
Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s Day!!
